eLearn with VITA
What is eLearn?
eLearn is an online program through which you can study for your HiSET (formerly G.E.D.) diploma. All of the HiSET test components are covered through eLearn's classes: reading, writing/language, math, social studies, and science.
What will I have to do?
Students enrolled in the eLearn program need to:
-
Attend a short orientation and assessment at one of VITA's offices (Lafayette or Opelousas)
-
Make a plan to study online (expect to spend 4-6 hours per week studying)
-
Talk with your eLearn coach weekly to check in on your progress
-
Visit VITA every 2-3 months for assessments to make sure you're progressing

Is eLearn right for me?

-
18+ years of age
-
Access to a personal computer (not a phone) with reliable internet OR transportation to the public library or VITA's office to use a computer
-
Great time management skills and self-motivation
